Former NFL star, and defendant in one of the most infamous criminal trials in US history, OJ Simpson, has died at 76 of prostate cancer.
Simpson is most known for being accused, and ultimately acquitted in the killing of his ex-wife and one of her friends in a controversial trial still debated today. A statement from his family reads, “On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.”
