On April 6th, 2024, country singer Morgan Wallen was arrested by police for allegedly throwing a chair off the roof of a Tennessee bar, “Chief’s”, which is owned by fellow country singer Eric Church. Wallen was taken into custody by the Metropolitan Nashville PD after officers alleged the singer threw a chair from the 6-story roof of the bar, almost hitting 2 officers. Video and statements from bar staff & patrons included in the arrest affidavit show Wallen lunging to pick up a chair, before throwing it off the roof, then laughing.
Wallen was booked the day after, and is facing 3 charges of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and a charge of disorderly conduct. His bail bond has been set at $15,250, and his court date has been scheduled for May 3rd, and will be tried in Davidson County Criminal Court.
