Most people have a go-to Christmas movie that they watch ritually every year, typically they say something like Home Alone, Elf, or A Christmas Story. Another popular choice is How The Grinch Stole Christmas, but with all the different versions out there, how can you tell which one’s best? Out of all the options, the best is the original cartoon version from 1966. This version of the Grinch is considered more nostalgic, since it’s usually the first one most people see. The animated Grinch is likable by all ages, since it isn’t too realistic to scare younger kids and easy to appreciate by an older audience. At about 25 minutes, this movie is a great length to still have time for other activities, or to watch before going to bed on Christmas eve. Since this version of the movie is animated, it inspires more appealing Grinch decorations, art, and even snacks than the live-action versions do. Overall, the first cartoon of How the Grinch Stole Christmas is the best out of all 3 adaptations.
