Putting on your socks and shoes is an essential part of every day. It may seem like a small, mindless task, but it is much more than that. Like all things in society, there is a right order and a wrong order in which to put on your feet-coverings in the mornings.
Now, some might say that such a thing doesn’t matter. But it does. Some people think that the proper order in which to put your shoes and socks on in the mornings is: left sock, left shoe, right sock, right shoe. Those people are wrong. The correct order in which to put your socks and shoes on is to put on both socks, then to put on your shoes. It’s much more important than it seems. Say you put on one sock and one shoe, then realized that you had a different pair of shoes better suited for your outfit. That’s an extra couple of minutes taking the old shoe off, then putting the new one on. It’s so much easier to simply put your socks both on, then make the final executive decision of what pair of shoes is best for the day.
