A video posted to both Ryan Reynolds’ Twitter page and YouTube channel provided some insight into Deadpool 3. Everything in the video seemed pretty normal until he began to talk about the one idea that they had. After a pause, Reynolds asks, “Hey Hugh, you wanna play Wolverine one more time?”, to which he responded, “Yeah, sure Ryan.” Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as The Wolverine, as seen in Fox’s X-Men series. His most recent movie as this character was Logan in 2017.  After Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox in 2019, Deadpool 3 will officially join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, allowing him to interact with characters that he previously could not. Reynolds stated that it was “hard keeping my mouth sewn shut about this one” in the description of his YouTube video. Deadpool 3 is set to release on the 6th of September, 2024.
