Halloween is just around the corner, and fun costumes and trick-or-treating come with it. But how old is too old to participate in these classic spooky activities? To find out, we asked Kynedi Glover, a sophomore at Hillcrest.
When asked the age-old question of how old is too old to trick-or-treat, Glover responded, “I would probably say around like 18; that’s a little too old.” Glover brings up a most likely common answer: once you reach adulthood, it might be time to hang the costumes up.
Dressing up is many people’s favorite part of Halloween, so we also asked if she would be dressing up this year. “I am because I like dressing up; I think it’s fun,” she said. Many teens share this sentiment and think planning your costume is the best part of the spooky season.
We also asked what the best Halloween costume she’s seen is, she answered, “I’ve seen somebody be a Lego and they handmade their costume, it was really good.” Halloween brings out a certain level of creativity that other holidays may not.
To end we asked what’s the best costume that you’ve done? “When I was little I was a sleepyhead, I was in pajamas and I had a pillow.”
Whether Halloween is your favorite holiday or it gives you the creeps, we all can enjoy the hallmarks of the holiday like dressing up or trick-or-treating.
