The Ice Cream Station is a staple of Downtown Simpsonville. Located near the train tracks, its enchanting ambiance and uniqueness draw quite a crowd. No matter the day, except on Sundays when it’s closed, there’s a long line of people waiting to enjoy tasty ice cream. Rampage asked people waiting for ice cream why they chose the station. Many said it is “the most affordable area for ice cream, with many food options around.” Downtown Simpsonville has grown greatly in recent years, developing gaming arcades, pizza joints, and live music venues. Throughout all this, the Ice Cream Station has stayed a dominant gathering area of Downtown. Despite all the changes and busyness of Simpsonville, it is still one of the areas where you can relax and enjoy different flavors of ice cream and life. We asked various community members why they were so willing to wait in a long line. They answered, “It’s not about the long wait time, it’s about the time we get to spend with friends and family. The Ice Cream Station does such a wonderful job of creating an enjoyable atmosphere, which is one reason that makes us come back.” The Station is a wonderful addition to our town, Simply Simpsonville.
