Former United States President Donald J. Trump has been indicted by the New York grand jury. The district attorney’s office of Manhattan has been investigating the 76-year-old Republican and his alleged role in a hush-money payment scheme of around $130,000 involving adult film star Stormy Daniels. He arrived in New York City today after flying in his private plane from West Palm Beach, Florida to both his supporters and rioters held behind barricades. Trump will face more than 30 counts of business fraud and is expected to be arraigned tomorrow, Tuesday April 4, 2023. Todd Blanche is a prominent leader on his defense team, just recently hired to help aid in his arraignment. Allegedly, the former President has denied any involvement in the allegations and plans to plead not guilty, but was prepared to be arrested just weeks earlier. Donald Trump is the first former president to be indicted after he served his presidency, making history as well as an interesting case.
