It’s Christmas, One of the best times of the year. The lights, weather, drinks, food, snow, no school, gifts, holiday movies, Christmas PJs, I mean what part can you not like?  My favorite part of Christmas, other than the gifts, is the beautifully decorated trees I see all around. There is nothing better than a real Christmas tree. The smell of its freshness, the fact that you get to pick your one special tree, and the most amazing part, their huge size. Real Christmas trees are so much better than artificial ones. Now, fake trees have their pros of course. They can come in different colors such as red, white, or black, this helps match the buyer’s personal aesthetic. Also, fake trees don’t come with the shedding and bugs that the real trees do. But, I still believe real trees are the way to go. The shedding, bugs, and other things that come with a real tree are all worth it for the amazing feeling real trees give. The feeling of picking your own tree with your family and decorating it together bets all of its so-called “cons”.  Not only do real trees help with the Christmas spirit, but they also help with the environment. “ Real trees don’t require the intensive carbon emissions that it takes to produce and ship artificial trees. Next, you’re supporting forests. When these natural trees are harvested for sale, there are more than ten times as many left standing!” (water stories). Also, because of what most artificial trees are made of they will end up in landfills as soon as they are tossed out. Real trees help with climate change and even though you are cutting them down, you’re supporting forests in the long run. So, go get yourself a real Christmas tree during the holiday season.
