Woe is of Wednesday

The Addams family is once again terrifying the nation with the 8-episode Wednesday series on Netflix. The series stars Jenna Ortega as the rebellious Wednesday Addams. The show begins with Wednesday enrolling in a school of outcasts in a distant Vermont town. Wednesday’s cold and standoffish personality is combated by the warm welcoming arms of the school. However, no matter how fuzzy the school may be, trouble still follows Wednesday in the form of a murder mystery throughout the semester. The series is perfect for fans of witty writing, thrilling mysteries, and nail-biting twists.

Wednesday quickly overwhelmed Netflix’s American viewership, becoming the most-watched show in its first week on the platform. Director Tim Burton transformed the 60-year-old tv series into a modern retelling that has captivated audiences both young and old. While fans of the show applaud it for its excellent plot and characters, many are wondering where the series will end up next. No official news or release dates for a second season have been announced, although many speculate it is already in the works. No matter the release date, fans are still craving more of the Addams Family; some even have resorted to re-watching the series.
