Creamy and Cheesy Ramen Noodle Recipe

Camille Jenkins, Staff Writer

Like many in America, I am an avid Top Roman eater! Yes, it is affordable and simple to make, but at times it can be a little boring. So, when I saw a “cheesy ramen” recipe on Tik Tok, I jumped at the chance to spruce up the plain meal. Mixing two of my favorite things, (carbs and cheese), seemed like a good plan.

At first, I cooked the ramen like a normally would with one cup of water on medium to high heat. I cooked the noodles to a medium hardness (so they wouldn’t get too mushy) and then drained the water. I then added 1 cup of milk, the seasoning packet (and other various ingredients), and finally… CHEESE!

As my parents walked into the kitchen, they wondered what I was cooking that “smelled so good”. I explained that I found a new recipe to try for the HHS Rampage, let them have a taste, and they were delightfully surprised! The creamy consistency of the cheese rue tasted great with the noodles. It mirrored a creamy mac and cheese, but with long, slurp-able noodles. And it wasn’t only delicious, it was also very filling. I initially didn’t think it would be enough food, but by the bottom of bowl, I was very full.

If you are thinking about trying this recipe, I would highly recommend it! (Recipe is posted below)

  • Heat 1 cup of water in a pan over medium-high heat and bring it to a boil.
  • Once the water comes to a boil, add 1 package (3 oz) noodles to the pan and cook the noodles for 2 minutes.
  • Do not over cook otherwise the noodles will become mushy.
  • Drain the extra water and transfer the noodles back to the pan.
  • Add:
  • 1 cup milk, seasoning packet
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon butter
  • ¼ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Stir gently until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy.
