The latest actors being canceled on social media are Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. The couple, who met on the set of That 70’s Show, have been married since 2015 and now are facing intense backlash after it was revealed that they wrote letters in support of their former castmate, Danny Masterson, sentencing. Masterson was recently sentenced to 30 years in prison for two counts of rape, during his May sentencing hearing. Their letters allegedly described Masterson as a generous and caring friend and have been heavily criticized for undermining the experiences of his victims. 

After seeing the backlash, the couple released an apology video expressing regret for their actions, but it was not well-received. Prior to this scandal, Ashton Kutcher served as the Chairman of the Board of Thorn, an anti-human trafficking organization with a focus on ending the sexual exploitation of children that he founded with his ex-wife, and Mila Kunis served on the observation board for the company. Last week, Kutcher and Kunis resigned from their positions in the organization. 

While the initial backlash was severe, many fans have stood up for the couple, and the situation will likely be forgotten by the end of the year.
